One thing I look for every October is a Friday the 13th. Today's the 13th, but we missed Friday by a day. Oh well. Looks like this month will be a bit less scary.


Free African Dance & Music NIght
United Nations Plaza, San Francisco
5pm - 8pm

Free African dance class & live musical performances in UN Plaza at 6pm. Special guest performance by Alonzo King LINES Ballet Training Program.

Pre-reception with free, local food at UC Hastings Law School, 5pm (200 McAllister – at Hyde). Post reception at Market Street Grill (1231 Market), 7pm.


Open Improv Class
The Dark Room Theatre
2263 Mission St., San Francisco
5pm - 7:30pm

Taught by Sylvan Production's professors-in-cheif Dan Mack and Justin Gomes, The Class is an improvisational drop-in workshop catered to each week's participants individual needs.
Dan and Justin start the class by gauging everyone's skill level, and then teach from their collection of knowledge to help each individual performer.
And what's the best part? It's right before the Open Improv. The Bay Area's #1 improv jam.

Double, double, toil and trouble! Conjure up the Halloween spirit and join Mr. Entertainment and the Yay Girls for a bewitching Bingo night. Adorn thyself in a splendiferous
costume to vie for the bestest prize, but beware, as it’s bound to be a supernatural crowd.
